I just reviewed all the information that my mother Céline and I had about the descendants of Edmond Bourque & Célina Vienneau. It currently gives a total of 540 descendants, including spouses and parents of these spouses. There is still a lot of research to be done concerning the descendants of my great-grandparents, but let's say that for the moment it's a very good start!
My work continues on the descendants of Edmond Bourque and Célina Vienneau. My focus is now on their 3 youngest children: Laurent Bourque married to Madeleine Léger, Marie Bourque married to Albert Melanson and Catherine Bourque married to Alphonse Boudreau.
As always, keep following my site, keep sending me corrections and new information. Your feedback is always appreciated.
Today's update to the site brings the following statistics:
83 796 related individuals
49.35% of the data has been revalidated
Now that I have completed reviewing the families of my grandparents, I moved up one level in my family tree. The more I move up, the more downward branches I need to explore. This is exciting!
This week I was able to completely revalidate the data for all the descendants for my six (yes six) grandparents. Why six? When my grandmother Elizabeth Bourque died, my mother and her siblings were young. Since my grandfather Médard had his children when he was relatively advanced in age combined. He decided to return to is home village where he could get assistance from friends and family to take care of his family. So at a young age, my mother moved from Moncton to the Caraquet area and lived with the family of Livain Cormier & Anita Dugas.
This week brings big changes to the content of my genealogy site. Since the early 1990’s, I have been focusing on my Leger lineage. Has I have indicated before, my grandfather Médard Léger had spent many years researching the Léger family. My mother continued his work when he passed away. It was natural to me to continue this work. Although much work is still needed, I have decided to change my approach.
My genealogy site was updated May 26th, 2018. The site now contains 71 156 individuals related to the Leger and/or Pinet families. 53.90% of the data has now been revalidated.
Are you a descendants of Jacques Léger dit Larosette or Philippe Pinet and are not included in my published data? You can rectify the situation by sending me your information. My contact information can be found on my genealogy site:
